10 AM - 1 PM
Supported Event

Come and join the Hawker Repair Café for a fun morning of repairs and sustainability! AEVA will be displaying a range of typical second-handle vehicles and offering test rides. Only cars valued below $20,000 will be included this time and there will be a vintage display for EVs 10 years or older. If you would like to offer your older electric vehicle, please register using the RSVP button on this page. A small donation to the Hawker Men's Shed is requested for AEVA members attending.

At each repair café, Hawker Men’s Shed will have stalls for second-hand tools and household goods as well as possum boxes and bird boxes. Orders can be taken for possum and bird boxes. In addition, the Made Local Market with over 25 stalls will have eco-friendly handmade gifts, toys, jewellery, garden ornaments, home grown produce and more.

At the repair café, volunteer fixers will seek to repair or show you how to repair items such as small electrical appliances, bicycles, jewellery, lawnmowers and gardening equipment.

Coffee, tea, sausages and a selection of cakes will be available to raise money for Softball ACT and Hawker Men’s Shed.

10 AM - 2 PM
Special Event

The Rotary Club of Orange is again hosting the Orange Sustainable Living Expo at Orange Showground, and is seeking support from AEVA members.

The organisers would welcome AEVA members to share their knowledge about their cars, and the ownership experience. They would like to offer test rides for people attending on the day, aiming to get as many people riding in EVs as possible - it's true that "bums in seats" really changes hearts and minds.

There will be space for display of any AEVA information, signage etc. and an effort to sign up people for AEVA membership.
